Abstract

In December 2024, Meulaboh experienced a year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation rate of 3.29 percent, with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 108.63. The y-on-y inflation occurred due to price increases reflected in the rise of most expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverages, and tobacco group increased by 3.43 percent; the clothing and footwear group by 2.84 percent; the housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 1.94 percent; the household equipment, appliances, and routine maintenance group by 0.79 percent; the health group by 5.70 percent; the information, communication, and financial services group by 0.10 percent; the recreation, sports, and culture group by 2.30 percent; the education group by 0.66 percent; the food and beverage services/restaurants group by 3.56 percent; and the personal care and other services group by 14.85 percent. Meanwhile, the transportation group was the only expenditure category that experienced a decline, decreasing by 0.28 percent. Additionally, the month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation rate for Meulaboh in December 2024 was recorded at 0.36 percent, while the year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate stood at 3.29 percent.
