Abstract

In June 2024, Meulaboh experienced a year-on-year (y-on-y) inflation rate of 3.94 percent, with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 107.87. The y-on-y inflation occurred due to price increases indicated by the rise in some expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage, and tobacco group by 6.3 percent; the clothing and footwear group by 3.16 percent; the housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 0.65 percent; the household equipment, appliances, and routine maintenance group by 2.86 percent; the health group by 3.34 percent; the transportation group by 0.95 percent; the information, communication, and financial services group by 0.39 percent; the education group by 0.7 percent; the food and beverage provision/restaurant group by 3.29 percent; and the personal care and other services group by 9.76 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure group index that experienced a decrease was the recreation, sports, and culture group by 0.89 percent. The month-to-month (m-to-m) inflation rate and the year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate in Meulaboh for June 2024 were 0.32 percent and 2.57 percent, respectively.
