Abstract

Inflation in Meulaboh City was caused by an increase in the consumer price index for the expenditure group: Foodstuffs experienced inflation of 0.68 percent, the clothing group inflation by 0.08 percent, and the processed food, beverages, cigarettes and tobacco group inflation of 0.03 percent. While the expenditure group that experienced deflation was Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas and Fuel deflation of 0.10 percent. Education, Recreation and Sports Group deflation of 0.02 percent. Meanwhile, the Health and Transport, Communication and Financial Services group did not experience changes in the index.

Inflation "year on year" (April 2019 against April 2018) for 3 Cities of inflation in Aceh Province are; Meulaboh at 2.46 percent; Banda Aceh at 2.47 percent; and Lhokseumawe at 2.61 percent. While the inflation of the calendar year (April 2019 against December 2018) in the City of Meulaboh was 0.77 percent, the city of Banda Aceh amounted to deflation of 0.19 percent, and the City of Lhokseumawe was deflation of 0.36 percent.
