Abstract

Village Potential Census (Podes) has been implemented since 1980. Podes data collection is carried out three times in a period of ten years, as part of the ten-year cycle of census activities conducted by BPS-Statistics Indonesia. Podes is carried out two years before the census to support it. In the year ending with ‘1’, Podes is carried out to support the Agricultural Census, to identifiy the concentration area of agricultural businesses according to the sector and subsector. In the year ending with ‘4’, Podes is implemented to support the Economic Census in order to identify businesses according to sectors and sub-sectors. In the year ending with ‘8’, Podes is implemented to support the Population Census, to identify new residential areas.
