Abstract

In April 2024, year-on-year (y-o-y) inflation in Meulaboh reached 4.21 percent, with the Consumer Price Index (CPI) standing at 107.36.

Year-on-year inflation occurred due to price increases reflected by the rise in some expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage, and tobacco group by 7.96 percent; the clothing and footwear group by 2.19 percent; the housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 0.43 percent; the equipment, tools, and routine household maintenance group by 2.92 percent; the health group by 2.29 percent; the transportation group by 1.2 percent; the information, communication, and financial services group by 0.6 percent; the education group by 0.7 percent; the food and beverage service/restaurants group by 2.59 percent; and the personal care and other services group by 7.22 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure group index that experienced a decrease was the recreation, sports, and culture group by 0.85 percent.

The month-to-month (m-to-m) deflation rate in Meulaboh for April 2024 was 0.43 percent, and the year-to-date (y-to-d) inflation rate in Meulaboh for April 2024 was 2.08 percent.
