Abstract

In February 2024, there was a year-on-year inflation (y-o-y) in Meulaboh amounting to 2.85 percent with a Consumer Price Index (CPI) of 106.91.

Year-on-year inflation occurred due to price increases indicated by the rise in some expenditure group indices, namely: the food, beverage, and tobacco group by 5.08 percent; the clothing and footwear group by 0.76 percent; the housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 0.78 percent; the household appliances, equipment, and routine maintenance group by 2.89 percent; the health group by 3.72 percent; the transportation group by 1.29 percent; the information, communication, and financial services group by 0.58 percent; the education group by 2.26 percent; the food and beverage provision/restaurants group by 1.82 percent; and the personal care and other services group by 3.32 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure group index experiencing a decrease was the recreation, sports, and culture group by 0.46 percent.
