Abstract

The inflation occurring in the city of Meulaboh is due to an increase in prices, as indicated by the rising indices in several expenditure groups, namely: the food, beverage, and tobacco group by 0.62 percent; the clothing and footwear group by 1.53 percent; the equipment, tools, and routine household maintenance group by 3.15 percent; the health group by 5.48 percent; the transportation group by 1.94 percent; the information, communication, and financial services group by 0.33 percent; the recreation, sports, and culture group by 0.74 percent; the education group by 0.8 percent; the food and beverage service/restaurants group by 2.76 percent; and the personal care and other services group by 5.94 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure group that did not experience a change in the index is the housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group.
