Abstract

The inflation that occurred in Meulaboh City is due to an increase in prices, as indicated by the rising indices of various expenditure groups, namely: the food, beverage, and tobacco group by 5.07 percent; the clothing and footwear group by 1.77 percent; the household equipment, tools, and routine household maintenance group by 3.03 percent; the health group by 5.52 percent; the transportation group by 1.91 percent; the information, communication, and financial services group by 0.4 percent; the recreation, sports, and cultural group by 0.64 percent; the education group by 0.8 percent; the food and beverage/restaurant provision group by 2.76 percent; and the personal care and other services group by 5.92 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure group that experienced a decrease in indices is the housing, water, electricity, and household fuel group by 0.04 percent.
