Abstract

Inflation that occurred in Meulaboh City was due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in most of the index of expenditure groups, namely: food, beverages, and tobacco by 8.70 percent; clothing and footwear group by 1.47 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel groups by 4.87 percent; household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group by 5.84 percent; health group by 10.85 percent; transportation group by 19.33 percent; recreation, sports, and culture groups by 4.00 percent; education group by 2.54 percent; food and beverage/restaurant supply group by 4.40 percent; and the personal care and other services group by 5.01 percent. Expenditure groups that experienced a decline in the index, namely: the information, communication, and financial services group by 1.89 percent.
