Abstract

Inflation that occurred in Meulaboh City was due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the index of expenditure groups, namely: clothing and footwear group by 0.17 percent; housing, water, electricity, and household fuel groups by 0.29 percent; household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group by 0.01 percent; health group by 0.58 percent; transportation group by 9.56 percent; and recreation, sports, and culture groups by 0.42 percent. Expenditure groups that experienced a decline in index, namely: food, beverages, and tobacco by 1.82 percent; information, communication, and financial services group by 0.13 percent; and the personal care and other services group by 0.30 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that did not change were: the education group and the food and beverage/restaurant supply group.
