Abstract

Inflation that occurred in Meulaboh City was due to an increase in prices as indicated by an increase in the index of expenditure groups, namely: food, beverages and tobacco by 2.11 percent; clothing and footwear group by 0.09 percent; household equipment, equipment and routine maintenance group by 0.23 percent; health group by 0.08 percent; transportation group by 0.93 percent; information, communication, and financial services group by 0.01 percent; recreation, sports, and culture groups by 0.47 percent; and the group providing food and beverages/restaurants by 2.31 percent. Expenditure groups that experienced a decline in the index, namely: personal care and other services group by 0.52 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that did not change were: housing, water, electricity, and household fuel groups; and education groups.
