Abstract

Deflation that occurred in Meulaboh occurred due to lower prices as indicated by the drop in the index for the expenditure group, namely: the food, beverage and tobacco group by 1.36 percent; the personal care and other services group of 1.22 percent; and the housing, water, electricity and household fuel group by 0.09 percent. Expenditure groups that experienced inflation, namely: the equipment, equipment and household maintenance group by 0.34 percent; the health group by 0.10 percent; and the transportation group by 0.19 percent. Meanwhile, the expenditure groups that did not change were the clothing and footwear group; information, communication and financial services group; recreational, sports, and cultural groups; education group; and food and beverage / restaurant supply groups.
