Abstract

In January 2017 in Meulaboh City there was inflation of 1.34 percent, in Kota Banda Aceh inflation was 0.28 percent and in Kota Lhokseumawe inflation was 0.26 percent.

Inflation occurring in Meulaboh City was generally due to price increases in the Foodstuffs Group which experienced inflation of 2.42 percent; Followed by Housing, Water, Electricity, Gas and Fuel Groups with inflation of 1.89 percent; The Transport, Communication and Financial Services Group experienced inflation of 1.53 percent; Food, Beverage, Cigarette and Tobacco Group experienced inflation of 0.88 percent; And the Health Group experienced inflation of 0.05 percent. While the Sandang Group experienced deflation by 0.14 percent; Followed by Education, Recreation and Sports Group with deflation of 0.07 percent.

The inflation rate for calendar year up to January 2017 for Meulaboh City is 1.34 percent; Kota Banda Aceh 0.28 percent and Lhokseumawe City 0.26 percent. "Year on year" inflation (December 2016 against December 2015) for Meulaboh City was 4.67 percent; Kota Banda Aceh 2,79 percent and Kota Lhokseumawe 5,57 percent.
